New event organisers for Dragon Bay
We’re proud to announce that after two great years, management of Dragon Bay is now under CBA Events.
The Keswick-based events company have been in the industry for 15 years and are looking forward to making the day bigger and better.
CBA Events took the reins to organise Dragon Bay and handle team entries earlier this year, though the aim of the event stays the same.
Ross Gardiner, Event Manager at CBA Events, said:
“We’re enormously proud to have been invited to get involved with such a great local event which benefits so many worthy causes including Paddlers For Life.
“Our ethos is to maintain everything that has been fantastic about Dragon Bay to date and then enhance it with a few creative flourishes and an array of additional entertainment for the participants and spectators alike.”
To meet the rising popularity and success of Dragon Bay, the maximum number of dragon boat team entries has increased to thirty. Each team can expect to take part in two exhilarating races on the lake with the two finalists competing in the winning round.
Higher number of teams, means more money can be raised for Paddlers For Life. The cancer survivors charity have been central to the fundraising regatta day since 2014.
In contrast to previous years, more entertainment will be provided on site in place of the conference including a bouncy castle, BBQ, food and drink stalls and a climbing tower.
The hilarious comedy lifeguards will be present again, along with the beach party DJ. Teams will be pleased to know the funky warm-up sessions are set to be even more fun than last year!
